Peace of Mind:
Founded in 1946, Jones & Roth has a strong reputation and offers an exciting future.
We are committed to fostering a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion in our firm culture. We believe a diverse community that includes people of all races, ethnic backgrounds, religions, world views, genders, and ages makes for a richer, more equitable, and more successful quality of work and life.
Our Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion team educates and trains our team members on issues of unconscious bias and communicating our values regarding a diverse community. We recognize that, historically, the public accounting profession has not attracted a diverse workforce and clientele. We are implementing a plan to do our part to facilitate change in this area.
Our recruiting team works closely with our local University Career Centers to create opportunities for BIPOC students to become aware of the outstanding careers that are available in public accounting. We are also planning an initiative to get involved at the high school level to encourage interest in public accounting to under-represented students that might not consider this career development opportunity.
As a firm, we have prioritized gender equality among our leadership team. We are proud to have a partner group that is comprised of 50 percent women, a senior manager group comprised of 66 percent women, and an executive committee comprised of 67% women, which are all a direct result of our culture of equity and inclusion within the firm.
We are a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and support the AICPA’s efforts to increase diversity in the CPA profession. We support this effort in large part through our stated intent to cultivate a more diverse Jones & Roth community, and through recruiting efforts with local universities. We recognize that in order to increase diversity within the public accounting profession, we need to increase diversity among business and accounting majors in universities.
In addition to a diverse workforce, we value a diverse client base. We have a number of initiatives to provide complimentary education and support to startups, small businesses and emerging nonprofit organizations that are showing promise to support BIPOC-led entrepreneurial and social service success.
